The K-9 team is crucial in various law enforcement operations, including drug detection, suspect apprehension, and community outreach. WPD K-9s are valued team members committed to serving and protecting the community.

Pink Patch Project
The Watsonville Police Pink Patch Project campaign raises funds to support local families who cannot afford breast cancer treatment and services while also raising awareness about breast cancer, the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women.
Since 2017, the Watsonville Police Pink Patch Project campaign has raised more than $109,000 for the Katz Cancer Resource Center.

National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Each neighbor hosts block parties, cookouts, games, and other events.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet our Officers, your local Firefighters, and City Officials who visit the registered sites throughout the evening.

Shop with a Cop
Shop With a Cop is a community outreach program that brings law enforcement officers and children together for a day of holiday shopping. The event is designed to foster positive relationships between police officers and the community.
Last year, the Watsonville Police Department sponsored 11 deserving families, with a total of 54 participants from the Watsonville Police Activities League and Caminos Hacia el Éxito programs.
